BoXiKoN has been a popular Mac action puzzler game for some years now and is finally available for iPhone/iPod Touch! The game is very easy to learn; it will be love at first play! Simply rotate and place shapes into the grid to form solid connecting lines across or down. The solid lines are cleared leaving space to continue! Use your skills of organization and planning to ensure you never run out of space! Sounds easy? Give it a go!

Compete against others on the online High Score table!

The pure "minimal" puzzle gameplay is reminiscent of Tetris, but the game is more of a brain teaser than a fast paced arcade game. If you enjoy Bejeweled, Trism, thinking games like Sudoku, or my other game CornerChaos, youre sure to enjoy this too!

FEATURES:
- Very simple to learn
- 20 Levels to work through
- Relaxed Mode (Take your time!)
- Up to 74 different shapes!
- Auto-save and auto-continue
- Uses multi touch for rotations.

Pros and cons of BoXiKoN app for iPhone and iPad

BoXiKoN app good for

This game was challenging to me to learn how to manipulate the objects. The concept is Tetris-like in that you try to complete rows or columns; however, I have yet to get a very high score which keeps me addicted and coming back to try and score higher.
You just cant play one game. I like it because it is a thinking game.
Ive been a huge fan of BoXiKoN for years & the ipod touch version is great. Its really easy to learn, but difficult to master since there are multiple strategies to get higher scores. There are fun little surprises, such as a variety of special pieces & effects so the game doesnt get motonous. The graphics are fun & engaging.
Visually BoXiKoN is simply perfect. Nice colors, textures, interface, animations and effects. It also has good sound effects. It does not have background music, it allows iPOD music but mutes the sounds. The gameplay is very simple. You place the tetris alike tiles that you can see at bottom on the board. If you make a line (like in tetris) you score and the line is removed. You can create a 3x3 (or more) blocks of the same color to transform those blocks into jewels. Removing lines with jewels assure you bonus points. As you can see you have 5 slots at bottom. If the next tiles comes up an theres no room for it the game is over. You have some seconds before the next tile is added (try Relaxed Mode if you want a stressless game). One of the greatest things about the interface is that the tiles at bottom are always rotating. Most of the time you can pick up a tile in the right position to place. If you change your mind you can use a second finger to rotate the tile. You cant flip it though. In addition, when you select a tile it is automatically shift up so your finger doesnt get in the way. In resume, the controls are perfect. The game has 3 timed modes (easy, medium and hard) along with a Relaxed one (timeless). It can properly resume and loading times are short. Good! Theres an unified local high score for all modes. Theres an online board too but you have to leave the game to see it. Its very detailed but the approach is limited considering e.g. OpenFeint. Thats a casual and very polished puzzle. I really like this one! 4/5+
This is one of those games that you play and then 3 hrs later you shake your head and wonder where all the time went. Ive been a BoXiKoN fan since its release and was worried about how it would control on my iPhone. I can say without hesitation that they NAILED IT for this version. The controls felt a bit off at first but after a game or 3 it became completely natural. Great job! As far as Im concerned, this is a MUST BUY for anyone with an iPhone/iPod Touch. Well worth the money. I wouldve easily paid more for it and not felt bad at all, but I do think this is the perfect price point.
I have loved this game for years, played it often on my Mac, turned both of my young-adult kids on to it, now thrilled to find it in the App store. Its similar to Tetris but much better IMO, plus gorgeous color & graphics. Turning the pieces is a bit awkward but you will get used to it. I like the relaxed mode cause no clock and I get higher scores (8760 on my first try, nearly ran out my battery). Well worth the $$ for high replay factor. Great job, Paul!

Some bad moments

Realy neat game, but I think they need more then 20 lvls since my last score was at lvl 12 :) A neat twist to similar block games. iTazz
Love this game on my iPad. But now transferring everything to a Mini and it does not work. The game loads mist fine but it does not recognize the touch to move the pieces.
