A visual disaster

The game itself is fun and I really enjoy the strategy involved. Unfortunately, the backgrounds prevent me from playing.

The changing backgrounds is a major problem. I love the fact that the background will change, but the choice in patterns is horrible. Some backgrounds blend too much with the pieces themselves and its rare that I see a pattern that actually looks aesthetically pleasing. Most are just too overdone combined with all the other patterns on the screen.
